Fractal Cat and Beautiful Machines Join TPR Roster

FRACTAL CAT

Press photo 5Baltimore band Fractal Cat emphasizes classic songwriting, a strong vocal presence, and a multilayered psychedelic sound. Originally the solo studio endeavor of songwriter Miles Gannett, the project evolved into a six-piece rock ensemble. Fractal Cat weaves pop songs and vocal craft influenced by greats from Buddy Holly to Smokey Robinson with sonic exploration in the spirit of early Pink Floyd and Gong.

The band grew out of Gannett’s studio efforts while recording The Eye in the Dawn, Fractal Cat’s debut album, released October 30, 2012. Inspired by the psychedelic experience and a journey of spiritual awakening, the album pays homage to the great theme albums of the sixties and seventies.

BEAUTIFUL MACHINES

BMFormed in the Fall of 2010, Beautiful Machines is an electronic-infused rock/pop band.  Musically inspired by live electronic music, the band started a scene of its own in the San Francisco Bay Area. Most of the band’s songs and lyrics have a dark undercurrent and eeriness in the sound. The band takes on a modern futurist aesthetic, fused with its admiration for technology and the individual creative mind. Utilizing visuals and interactive elements, the band produces a show that casts a wide appeal for fans of electro-synth-pop-rock.  Notable performances include Burning Man Decompression Festival, Maker Faire 2011 and 2012, and a wide array of interesting parties and venues.  For fans of Goldfrapp, Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, MGMT, Washed Out, M83, Air, Metric, Daft Punk, Royksopp, NIN, TV on the Radio, Thievery Corp.
